“He asked me out!” You all but screeched to Elizaveta. You had all but run up to her between classes. She looked surprised to see you, then her look of surprise turned to one of worry as she noticed you panting and out of breath.
“You shouldn’t run, _____. You know the doctors told you to take it easy. You can’t afford to pass out.”
“I know, I know, but he asked me out,” you said putting emphasis on those last three words. Elizaveta’s hearing finally caught what you were saying and the realization dawned on her face.
“Who?!” she squealed. Her eyes were wider than you’d ever seen them and her hands were clasped tightly in front of her and pressed against her mouth. She looked as if she were ready to explode with excitement.
“Francis!” Her mouth dropped open.
“The French student that all the girls are talking about?!”
“Yes! I couldn’t believe it either. I mean, why on earth would he choose me?” Now she was frowning at you, but you couldn’t think of anything you’d said to be offensive.
“Stop right there,” she ordered with a stern look on her face, “You are just as wonderful and brilliant and pretty as any other girl in this school if not more so. You should be asking what took him so long to ask you.” You blushed. She was so nice to you.
“Liz… You’re crazy,” you finally said laughing. She rolled her eyes, but with a smile on her face nonetheless.
“Tell me at lunch how all this happened.”
“Of course. I wouldn’t just leave my best friend out of it,” you said.

“So how did this all happen?” Elizaveta asked. She, Mei (Taiwan), and Irina (I went with Himaruya’s name for Ukraine) leaned in with looks of giddiness and anxiousness plastered on their faces.
“It was my usual Saturday. I was at my favorite coffee shop getting my breakfast. I was running a bit behind schedule, so I rushed a bit –” You heard a collective groan from the three of them but continued, “As I was leaving he held the door open for me,” they each giggled and sighed dreamily, “But as I was going out the door my fatigue caught up with me, and I fainted. The next thing I know I wake up in the hospital and there he is – sitting by my bedside so I wouldn’t wake up alone,” a collection of awws, “He gave me some yellow roses and stayed with me until visiting hours were over.” They let out little squeals of delight.
“He gave you flowers and stayed with you for hours,” Mei gushed, “I wish a boy would do stuff like that for me.”
“So when is this ‘dream’ date?” Elizaveta asked. They all looked at you expectantly.
“I haven’t said yes or anything,” you replied nonchalantly with a shrug.
“What?!” All three girls shrieked – even Irina who was usually so soft-spoken – causing some people to look over at the table you and your friends were sitting at. You blinked – you weren’t expecting such a reaction.
“Well, I mean, I have to think about it!” you scrambled to explain to them.
“One of the most gorgeous guys in school asks you out and you have to think about it?!” Mei hissed at you. You nodded.
“I’m not just gonna go over to a boy’s house without knowing him,” you reasoned.
“H-his house?!” Irina was blushing like mad at the things such a gesture implied.
“It’s only to eat I swear! We talked about the cooking club while he was visiting, and I was surprise that he was in it – you know, considering how they let almost no one in.” They nodded in understanding.
“You have to go,” Elizaveta stressed, “I mean, how often are hot guys with silky blonde hair and ocean blue eyes that can cook going to ask you out?! Rarely if ever again – that’s how often!”
“Well he gave me his number,” you said pulling out a small, folded up piece of paper with his name and number written on it in, surprisingly, neat handwriting.
“Give me your phone,” Mei ordered you.
“What? Why?”
“You’re going on that date. I don’t care if he gets naked and tells you to get in the bed the moment you finish eating! Hot guys with accents are not dates you pass on!” You blushed wildly.
“I’m not sure I even want to consider it anymore,” you muttered.
“Think about it,” Elizaveta said. Something told you that she was more eager about this than you could ever be. You couldn’t deny that the Frenchman was handsome and interesting and sweet, but you were afraid.
“But what if this keeps going?” you asked. They all looked at you with somber faces. Other than your parents, they were the first to know that you were diagnosed with lung cancer two months ago. “I don’t want to get wrapped up in something and end up hurting him.” They nodded in understanding. They knew you didn’t want to get into anything serious with your condition.
“I forgot about that. You’re so upbeat all the time that I forget,” Irina said with tears already bubbling in her eyes.
“Please don’t cry!” you said practically tackling her in a hug and almost falling out of your seats. You all laughed at the moment. You had made it a point to make sure you all stayed happy. You only wanted happy memories of them. You always wanted to remember them smiling.
“You don’t have to keep it up afterwards. Just tell him it’d be best if it didn’t continue,” Mei said while twirling a lock of her long hair around her finger.
“Like I said,” you said as you dropped your arms from around Irina, “I’ll think about it.” With that the discussion was over and you all went on to talk about your usual lunch conversations and if anyone had any weekend plans.

"Mon amour! I am very happy you are here!" exclaims the jolly Frenchman as you entered his abode. He pulls you into a hug and spins you around while you return the hug back. Placing you back down, you kissed your boyfriend.
The fragrance of his body captured your attention, it's so alluring. It's like a mix of Vanilla and roses, you couldn't even let him go. He too, didn't want to let you go so he picked you up and carried you to the kitchen "I have a surprise for you"
You were placed on a stool that was beside an island. H

You groaned. Something about yourself woke you up, and you raised your head, which was probably the worst mistake so far.
You swayed, and fell back with another groan.
„Liebe?”
You rolled over onto your back, and winced at the German in front of you.
“H-hi, Luds,” you whispered, smiling, before you covered your eyes with the back of your hand, the smile turning upside down into a grimace.
“(Y/n)?” The sound of cloth rustling hit your ears. “What’s wrong?”
Normally, you’d head for your parents’ room, but you were living alone now…with your German boyfriend
