Tch, idiot.
Levi only thought this way of you because you were the first woman to cause him to feel flustered on sight. You always seemed to be smiling, much like Hanji. You were obnoxious like Hanji too, but you were obnoxious in your own unintentional way. Saluting him with a perky, “How are you this morning/evening/afternoon, Heichou?” and a smile. He would usually just grumble a hello and continue whatever it was he was doing.
Stupid brat.
How was it you always seemed to be smiling? Not that anyone else really minded. Your ability to smile let the others smile, reminding them to be thankful for their lives. Even if they had lost loved ones, you reminded them to keep smiling and to work harder so that their sacrifices would not be in vain. He had to admit that he admired your ability to keep up morale. You were always perky and happy it seemed. You had a nice smile.
Dumb kid.
So you were capable of frowning. You just never showed it out in the open. He found you behind the stables, sitting with your back against the wall, knees to your chest, face in your knees, hands clutching your head, and your form shaking with quiet sobs. He didn’t say anything the first few times, not wanting you to be aware of his presence. But he found that no matter how many brave faces you put on for the sake of everyone else, you took just as hard if not harder than the others. Then one day, for whatever reason, he plopped down next to you, placed a hand on your head and leaned you over to rest on his shoulder, rubbing your other side comfortingly. And you would give him a watery smile and, somehow still managing to sound chipper as ever, say, “Thank you, Heichou.”
Annoying distraction.
You were attractive. Levi didn’t want to notice this, but he did. He sometimes found himself watching your form as you walked past him down the hallway after giving him your usual salute, greeting, and smile. He let his eyes linger on your hips as they swished with your walk – a saunter with a little bit of a bounce that made watching you arrival just as pleasurable as watching your departure. He found his eyes trailing along your feminine curves and lingering on his favorite parts more than he should have.
Frustrating nuisance.
The first time Levi kissed you was on impulse. You had brought him some paperwork he needed to fill out, and you just looked so damn cute. It was maddening and proved too much for “Humanity’s Strongest.” You just looked at him with those big, bright eyes and had that smile, and your body was so tempting – especially your mouth. The next thing he knew, he was pinning you to the wall while he roughly pressed his lips to yours in a small explosion of sexual tension that had been building up around you – really only a drop in the ocean in comparison to what he really wanted to do with you. But he still had a shred of self-control and ordered you to leave, to which you gave him a smile, a peck on the cheek, and a “yes, sir,” before you went about your day.
Insufferable girl.
You were not as innocent as Levi had once thought. You were quite clever. You had been teasing him all day, and it took him all day to figure it out. Putting extra bounce in your step when he saw you walking, bending over to pick things up in front of him, lightly flirting with other boys (especially Eren). It finally clicked when you were dropping off more paperwork that evening. You leaned close over his shoulder, watching him work for a minute while he tried to ignore how close you were (which was extremely difficult when your breath was ghosting past his ear) before you placed a hand on his shoulder and said (in a voice he had never heard you use before), “Is there anything I can do for you, Heichou?” Something in him snapped and somehow his papers ended up scattered across his floor and you were on your back on the desk being peppered with kisses and receiving a rather dark hickey on your neck.
Infuriating cadet.
Levi had it bad for you, and he wasn’t afraid to admit that. He wasn’t one for public displays of affection or anything, so he made his feelings known when the two of you were alone. You had never seen him blush before. He had a pretty deep one when you said, “I love you too, Levi.” He liked hearing you say his name. He wanted to hear you scream it too. The day he confessed was one filled with quite a bit of passion. He wasn’t sure when he had developed feelings for you, but what he did know was that he didn’t at all mind it. You weren’t so bad to have around as he put it.
How could you?
He’d never forgive you for this. You couldn’t do this. But you did. But Levi wouldn’t accept that fact. You smiled weakly at him in apology before leaning up to place a gentle kiss on his cheek, smearing a bit of blood on him. This wasn’t supposed to happen. You couldn’t die – not when you were the one thing that made it all seem like nothing at the end of the day. The one person he could count on to lighten his load a little or brighten his day with your perky demeanor. You reached up and caressed his cheek, still smiling. Perky and smiling even in death.
“Keep on smiling, Levi.” That was all you could say. It was your way of saying farewell. He’d learned that you weren’t good with goodbyes. He realized in that moment that he wasn’t either. He held you close, telling you that your sacrifice was worth more than you could ever imagine and how much he loved you.

Gleeful brat (Levi/Rivaille x Reader)
You leaned at the wall of the stables und watched your horse. It was the last one left. Curious it looked at you with his wonderful big and trustful eyes.
Sighing you entered its box.
Looking him in the eye you asked your stallion: “Ready for the ride?”
He didn´t respond. He felt your discomfort.
Damn Hanji.
You stroke over his beautiful fur.
“Let´s saddle you then, huh?”
As you were done you gave your horse a carrot before dragging it out of the stables.
Outside was hell going on. Well it seemed like it.
Soldiers were running in different directions. But they were just busy. Nothing bad happened.

Anxiety.
The cruel world.
It was your 23rd birthday, but no one knew that.
No one had ever talked to you.
It was a regular Wednesday, and you had been on cleaning duty with Petra Ral. You grabbed a different shirt, pulling the ling sleeves so the recent cuts from your arms weren't noticeable. Pulling your hair from frustration, you combed it downward and went to the stables, your usual meeting place with her.
Keeping the usually composed and rude outer self, you snarled at the strawberry-brunette girl. "Hey, we going to start or not?" You say, kicking the grass as you hastily grabbed the nearby broom, heading to the officer cabins.
